Cheerios For Childline Breakfast Morning

National Tree Day

Thursday was National Tree Day so in the afternoon we went outside to have a look at the sycamore tree growing beside our school. We took sketches and bark rubbing's. We observed the ivy growing up the trunk of the tree and the various plants and insects found at the base of the tree. We also gathered some leaves and helicopters. Back in the classroom we finished our drawings and made some leaf rubbing's. We looked up more information about the sycamore on the internet and displayed all our work in our scrapbooks.

Crotchet by Mya

Mya has just finished crocheting a tea cosy and brought it in to show us during the week. We were all very impressed with it.

Book Fair prize winners

For the Book Fair competition our class designed an alternate book cover for their favourite book. They were displayed in the halla during the Book Fair. The judges were very impressed with them all and had a difficult job making a final decision. Congratulations to our winner and runners up.

Our classroom were the winners this week. Here are the wardens presenting the mini green flag to Miss Walsh. Well done everyone and keep up the hard work.
