3D shapes

We were busy this morning using our knowledge of the properties of 3D shapes to make some models using lollipop sticks and play dough. They agreed that it's been a while since they used play dough and some even admitted to eating it when they were in playschool. Fortunately it was put to good use today and we ended up with some impressive 3D shapes.

Star Quilt Patterns

In History we are learning about a native American tribe called the Sioux. They were famous for their star quilts made from big patches sewn together. One patch stood for a person. Each patch was different, but each one needed to make a whole quilt. This reminded the people that everyone was important- we may be different from each other but we are all special. These are our interpretations of the star quilt.
