Science

We have been learning about conductors and insulators in Electricity. Conductors are materials that allow electricity to pass through them. Insulators are materials that do not allow electricity to pass through. We carried out an experiment on a range of materials to discover which ones were conductors and which were insulators. Using this knowledge our next challenge was to make a homemade switch. We chose materials that would be good conductors of Electricity. These are our circuits with our switches included. We also tested out some commercial switches like a doorbell.

group 1 used staplers as their switch.
Group 2 used a scissors, opening and closing it as their switch
Group 3 used the tip of a biro turning it on and off as their switch
Group 4 used a paperclip in their circuit
Group 5 used a metal keyring in their circuit
